I agree that there are many things that could be done on a daily basis to help in a small way the affects of global warming. What is never said and bothers me, though, is that much of the lack of the Bush administration recognizing global warming is due to the apathy of the public. Until scientists were pounding on the doors of the White House with a plethora of evidence and practically screaming, no one would consider the possibility (which is completely ridiculous if you have any knowledge of science). Public apathy is a problem no matter what the issue whether it be global warming, foreign policy, public health... I hope someday America wakes up to the great country it was when it was first founded and people screamed for change. I just hope Americans don't wake up too late, when all of our individual powers have been siphoned off by xenophobic ignorance, over-centralization of government, technological spyware, and the classic case of the rich continuing to take from the poor... while we all sit back and change the channels on our TVs. I don't want my kids to have to go to a zoo or a park just to see a tree or a bird in the wild!!-- posted by LuvdaLatte

Yes, so much can be said and done to signify the need for change, not just for global warming issues, but for many political debacles that’s costing our future so much. Just like a good novel or well written TV show, America can produce good policies for a graceful transition to an impressive future, or miss the forest because all the tress were cut down. Time will tell the tale, but optimism will be the voice.-- posted by Theatrerataz
